• Designed and built the initial data warehouse and pipelines from scratch, coalescing data on thousands of merchants (including their Segment clickstreams), tens of millions of products, warranties, chatbot logs, sales deals (from Salesforce), etc. eventually growing to a ~130TB datalake and ~16TB warehouse.
• Worked with various teams to build warehouse based microservices including: providing data to Iterable’s API for Peloton’s mass-marketing email campaigns, automating merchant support tasks of providing data to partners, custom dbt alerting to notify model stakeholders via Slack.
• Assisted in growing the data eng team to 8 and the data sciance/analytics org to ~30 and collaborated with them to provide data and empower them to develop their own dbt models.
• Implement CI/CD for our data pipelines with linting, test builds in dbt cloud, service-level code owner approval, etc.
